On Politics
Let the masses see you now,
with your colored flags waving above.
let them hear you speak with your words,
then let your tongues fill their ears with lies
and lies and lies and lies.
Let the ground shake,
oh let these streets tremble,
let your people shout of your presence.
Shout for human rights, shout for democracy
and all the other things that you want to meddle.
Cling to your false idols,
as you try to climb these social strata,
Douse your hunger for politics,
with a bucket of meaningless propaganda,
and the hope for liberation and reform.
Let colors clash,
as you light this wick, for greater ideological struggle.
let everyone hear your rhetoric,
cry for those in fear and in pain,
but in the end who would believe?
who would believe.
